Recently published work by Marilyn Strathern, former Chair of the Department of Anthropology at Cambridge, takes inspiration from John Wendel’s previously published work in Anthropological Forum on property rights and identity in Micronesia and compares and contrasts the data with English school children forming a “queue” to formulate a sophisticated anthropological analysis of property and ownership.
